1. Data we collect

Yaward.net only uses personal data that you provide directly, because of a product or service you have ordered. We use the following data:

  • Name and address of the shipping and delivery address
  • Phone number
  • Billing address
  • E-mail address
  • Payment information
  • IP address

We also need the data from the delivery address — so your product can be delivered either to your own address or to the address of the person you want to surprise.

You can also register as a customer. In addition to your personal data, we save the username you have chosen, which saves you from re-entering your data every time. You can view and adjust these settings yourself in your account.

2. Security

We protect all information you provide using the most modern techniques. We do not allow anyone who has nothing to do with your data access to it. Should it be necessary to share data with other companies, we require those companies to handle the data just as carefully as we do — and only for the purpose for which it was given.

3. Storage periods

We keep personal data as long as necessary to process your order. We then store the data for a maximum of two years for our own purposes. The data is then erased unless the law requires us to keep it longer. For example, the law obliges us to keep payment records for seven years.

4. Purposes

We use the data we receive from you for the following purposes:

  • Delivery of your order: We use the data for handling and delivering your order, including passing it on to florist partners and other third parties to ensure correct handling.
  • Advertising: After giving us permission, you can receive notifications about our products through e-mail or social media.
  • News emails and text alerts: By registering for our newsletter, you can receive offers, discounts, and news. After shopping with us, we may use your e-mail address and phone number to send relevant newsletters and SMS messages, even if you haven't subscribed. All messages contain an unsubscribe link so you can opt out at any time.
  • Questions: If you contact us with a question, the data you share is retained only as long as necessary to fully answer it.
  • Location data: In some cases it may be helpful to collect your location data (GPS). We will always ask for your permission before doing so.

5. Third parties

We may pass on your data to companies we work with — so-called third parties — to properly handle your order.

5.1 Navigation and mapping software: Providers such as Google Maps can store and process location data. This data may also be used by Google or Apple themselves. We have no influence on this and refer you to the privacy statements of those companies for more information.

5.2 Customer data and orders: When you place an order or register as a customer, we share data linked to your account with third parties when necessary for executing the agreement, or when required by law. For example, if we suspect fraud or abuse of our webshop, we may pass on personal data to the competent authorities.

5.3 Statistical services: We use services such as Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. We make strict agreements with these companies — for example, IP addresses are anonymized — and they may only use the data for the agreed purpose.
